We deliberately take action for social justice by:

  1. Accepting the invitation and challenge to “side with love”.
  1. Supporting the Unitarian Universalists for Social Justice, the
  2. Poor People’s Campaign: A National Call for Moral Revival, and
  3. Humanity Forward Foundation, Andrew Yang’s new 501(c)(3) non-profit organization dedicated to universal basic income and charitable assistance

Each of the above organizations have plenty of virtual opportunities to volunteer as well as in-person opportunities in most states.

Sunstone Chapel Ministries

We have three outreach-driven and outward-facing ministries:

Through our ministries we seek to support like hearted communities and share our values with others. We embrace the interdependent web of existence. We seek to nurture our spirits while helping others do the same. Our ministries are our way of using our gifts and resources to help others and otherwise make the world a better place.

Blessed Books, our book reviews ministry empowers our members to help spread the word on ideas, stories, and information that help promote freedom and justice while increasing our capacity for such work. Both fiction and nonfiction books are considered. We review and publicize progressive books about spirituality, sociology, belief, multifaith cooperation, acceptance, diversity and more.

Our Social Justice ministry provides avenues for virtual and in-person advocacy by supporting and joining other organizations and communities who share our values. There’s power in numbers and value in connecting with like-minded advocates. We accept the invitation and challenge to side with love. We also support the Unitarian Universalists for Social Justice, the Poor People’s Campaign: A National Call for Moral Revival, and Humanity Forward Foundation as mentioned above.
